Why do we capitalize "black" now? It's not just this article. I've noticed it in other places too.

Pandering. It's really that simple. Black is a color, not a proper noun. But journalists and editors have decided to change the laws of the language for that word, apparently.

Apparently everyone from the NYT to Fox News decided they will alter their style guides to capitalize "Black." Kinda weird how they all uniformly decided to do this overnight.
Definitely not propaganda.

The APA adopted this a few months ago during the outcry over Floyd.
