Don't think for a second this won't impact the P5 programs because it really hurts them too.

LSU generates around $25 million in revenue for a home game against say a school like Troy State. That's $25 million that is now gone from the LSU athletic budget. We make $25 million whether its Troy State or Alabama per home game so from a revenue perspective losing a Troy State is as important as losing a game against Alabama.

The largest payout for a one-game deal with no return this season reportedly is $1.9 million by Auburn to Massachusetts. UMass has a $10 million budget for football. The Auburn game scheduled for Nov. 14 offsets much of the expenses for the rest of the Minutemen’s schedule, athletic director Ryan Bamford said
