…when is the last time Michigan or Ohio State played a SEC team during the regular season?

For the Buckeyes it was 1988 (LSU)

Aside from 2006 Vandy, Michigan hasn't scheduled an SEC team since at least before 1973 (only site I found with season results went back to 1973), but the Wolverines almost always took care of business with SEC bowl opponents.
