That's a stretch, heading towards a weak excuse
No one ever FORCED those other Sports to NOT TURN A PROFIT, a buncha lazy arse Athl Dept Admins took the easy way out and said, "don't worry keep on losing Money, the 100 guys over here , majority Black BTW, they'll pick up the slack"
T9 doesn't force a sport to lose money, the individuals in the Athl Dept allow it
Why didn't each AD & each School Prez demand that every Sport on a campus generate at least slightly under break even in order to to be funded , and if the Conference required it, then get the Lawyers involved, no Conference should be able to force a money losing sport onto any Athl Dept
Smart people always have the option of changing bad Rules and bad Laws
