At this point it looks pretty grim for college football this year. The bigger problem is the pendulum is about to swing against big budgets for athletic programs, huge salaries for coaches, etc... Going to be some huge deficits in sports because all of the costs of college sports except for travel costs are basically still there with no revenue to offset them.

This is growing into a serious problem. Don't underestimate the number of people in academia that are against sports in general. They are about to pounce because there is blood in the water

So who do we blame for creating a system where 100% of the financial viability of the Athl Dept falls at the feet of JUST 100 ATHLETES in only 2 Sports (85 FB + 13 MBB Players)

If all those bad things happen above maybe the Athl Depts are getting what they deserve for creating such a fragile financial ecosystem for P5 College Sports

A long time ago (maybe 30 years) the burden for non Revenue Sports to at least operate at break-even should have been instituted, but that didn't happen, WHY......?

Because Big time College Sports had an unending supply of poor Black Males with very little Political backing that they could easily take advantage of with no one to step in and present the Players side to create a more fair distribution of the monies generated, NOPE, all that ever happened was the NCAA would send out a grey haired white male to wax poetic about the virtues of amateurism and mention that the Players were getting degrees and what a great deal it was for the Players

This cv19 and this current political climate is giving the NCAA what they deserve for not creating a more fair system years ago when the TV Money began to explode

Karma is coming to a lot of Athl Dept assholes and NCAA assholes for all the shady shite they've done over the years

I'd love to see this FB Season not be Played and the next MBB Season and another lost March Madness-----totally destroy the system down to the timbers and hopefully they'll rebuild it more fairly this time

Hold on so you think the answer that will solve this problem is the universities paying players? How dumb are you?
