I think Spring football has always been a Plan C that administrators avoided discussing publicly as they all want a normal season and have to plan to play the season as scheduled until such point that it’s obvious it won’t happen as scheduled.

We’re getting to the point, though, where they’ll have to move to PlanB (delayed/altered season), and the Spring football discussions will become more serious and more public.

Once CFB is faced with the choice of either no football or Spring football, everyone will get on board and make it work to avoid a CFB financial apocoplyse.

All that said, I think we’ve still got 2-3 weeks before having to totally ditch the idea of a normal season as scheduled.

"Everyone will get on board"? Players are already skipping meaningless bowl games & their "agents" will not have them skip pre draft pro workouts, private training for the combine, etc. The elite players will never get to that point in time, they'll have signed agent contracts as soon as the regular season is pushed back. Team rosters will be gutted. This has already become a topic of conversation on various ESPN shows.
