Don't forget they won by a missed field goal in OT against Florida. They won on a field goal against Syracuse as time ran out. Then Chris Weinke was hurt at FSU and barely won against a backup quarterback 23-16. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. That is one of the luckiest national champs of the 90s.

Tennessee only got to kick that winning fg after a bull shite 4th down PI call on Syracuse to keep UT's drive alive.
Syracuse should have had the ball on the turn over on downs and been able to run out the clock to win.
