think Ryan Day at OSU is set up for an incredible run. He was left in an incredible job, with history and facilities second to none and he setting up to have the greatest recruiting class in history.

I think you are spot on... What separates Day from Meyer is picking his assistants. Everywhere he has coached (pros and college he is liked and well respected. It surely doesn't hurt what he inherited though from Meyer. I may be wrong but I believe he'll only be there for maybe 5 years. The NFL is already in hot pursuit of him.

Give it some time

After a couple years at LSU, Gerry Dinardo was spoken to be the next coach at Penn State, replacing Paterno. This was when LSU was coming off a decade in the wilderness and just beginning to get to bowls again, and Paterno was on Bear level respect.
After three years at LSU, Les Miles was the next Jimmy Johnson, having transformed the Tigers from a bowl team to a perennial elite.

Day inherited a beast. Let's see what he does over the course of a few years before we crown him.
