A statue of Miguel Cervantes in San Francisco was defaced yesterday. He wrote Don Quixote and lived the life of a starving artist and was a slave himself for 5 years of his life. The only reason to vandalize a statue of him is *white dude from hundreds of years ago = bad".

No, I don't. I don't agree with the mob rule mentality of yanking them down in an emotional rage. There are better ways to address grievances.
Albert Pike's statue was yanked down this past weekend, and while I admired his Masonic work with the Scottish Rite, I didn't care for his ties to the KKK. The monument should've come down and been placed in the D.C. cathedral years ago.
But here we are. And it's unfortunate. But Albert Pike will be taught to new Freemasons for generations to come.
