The flag, name and mascot are going to be changed. It's only a matter of time. At the end of the day, there are more important things to worry about than the state flag, the name "Ole Miss" and the mascot "Rebels"

That may all be true. But they are eventually going to get around to banning the American flag, and any flag colored Red White and Blue, because why not do it its associated with other "racist" symbolism...there is no logic to their psychosis. Its a crusade of anger, wearing a clever disguise.

These people are deluding themselves if they think this is just about statues of confederacy and people who owned slaves. BLM is a thinly veiled hate group masquerading as a civil rights organization. The group was hijacked long ago. The target of their rage is all western history and traditions. The same thing is happening in Europe as well. Statues of abolitionists are being torn down as well. This is early 20th century Russia...not saying we’re quite at 1917 but we might be at around 1903. It’s hard to say.

Very false and way off base abt the American Flag
The American Flag is "connected" to the Constitution, the ideals of the Constitution have always been very lofty, that all men are created equal, and that freedom is among our most cherished principles, that is what the American Flag has going for it and that is why it is not perceived to be racist
The Constitution didn't specifically allow slavery, it didn't outlaw it either until later amendment(s)
The perception of the American Flag is that it should have guaranteed Freedom for all , but men effed that up for their own selfish reasons, wealth etc
The loser arse rebel flag cannot make a claim that it is connected to a Constitution that in theory wanted Freedom for all, to the contrary the loser arse rebel flag is connected to an insurgence that wanted to create a slave-ocracy, so the American Flag won't have the same issues as loser arse confederate symbology

I never in my lifetime thought I would come to the defense of Ole Miss, but the SJW woke AF club has done just that. I hope Ole Miss has the leadership in place to have enough backbone to withstand this onslaught of PC bullshite.
