Exposed as what, a great team last year?
Have you seen what they lost? They don’t have to repeat that success to verify that they’ve done a good job as a program.
Alabama is probably the only program in the country that could lose that much and still be a national championship contender.

Statements/beliefs like this is why Bama is currently projected at the beer SEC team for next year. No data points, just “the process.”
Case in point:
UGA has recruited at Bamas level for the last 3 cycles and returns more overall starters but is ranked lower than Bama
Much like LSU, Bama has to replace a starting QB, offensive and defensive standouts, replace actual coordinators yearly, lost their beloved S&C coach who was the yin to Saban’s yang...but LSU is ranked lower.
So, you are correct. The Bama brand gives the Crimson Tide automatic bonus points...at least for the time being.
