Since Smart’s tenure plenty of other schools have had the same benefits and have done worse than UGA. Smart has had UGA in contention more than any other UGA coach, so I don’t really understand the point of the thread.

And here's part of the culture problem.
The fans defend being the bridesmaid, but don't demand to be the bride.
LSU was laughed at for hiring O. But we also let it be known that contention was not good enough and he understood that.
Do you see the difference?

It isnt just about Smart's tenure.
Its about the 40 years of no championship and so far Smart hasnt won one so he just gets lumped in. If Georgia had won a recent championship you wouldn't hear any of this I'd wager.
