Yep, and the SEC outside of Tennessee and Florida was inconsistent back then. Florida had won 25 straight SEC games until LSU beat them in 1997. I see no reason to think FSU wouldn't have had the same success from 1990-2001 in the SEC East

Well, maybe because the SEC had better teams than the ACC pretty much every year. Same as now. I looked and they always had 1-2 other teams in the top 25 while the SEC was having 5-6. Same argument as Clemson now. They wouldn't have the same level of success in the SEC.
