All but 23 of the deaths in the 50+ age group had underlying conditions.

East Carolina University says COVID-19 has caused a lot of financial damage, and as a result the school is cutting some athletic programs, including men's and women's swimming and diving and men's and women's tennis. The cuts will save the school an estimated $4.9 million. Athletic scholarships connected to those sports will still be honored.
