Why should anyone take Tennersee seriously?

Constant “Were back and we’re gonna eat your arse” comments from the Vols has me wondering. Why the frick do they think they’re gonna be good?
Played 3 ranked teams and got prison raped
Florida: 34-3
Alabama: 35-13
Georgia: 43-24 (Lol Jake Fromm scored 40 on them)
Also lost to BYU and Georgia State. I mean Georgia State? Jesus bruh.
So they’re claim is the 6 game winning streaks to close the season after starting 2-5. They beat
- 4-8 South Carolina
- UAB
- Kentucky (17-13 with UK playing a WR at QB)
- Missouri
- Vanderbilt
- The mighty Indiana Hoosiers by 1.
Maybe I’m missing something but this looks like an 8-4 at best team with losses to OU, Bama, Georgia and Florida. Likely 7-5 though.
What am I missing?
