Maybe. I went in to that game expecting us to get slaughtered, because Alabama and LSU were on a higher plane than everyone else. The first half went much better than I expected, though.

In 2011 defense and special teams scored a lot and gave us a lot of short fields. It was the same 1970s offense. Without Mathieu, we'd probably have gone 9-3 or something. Petrino vs Miles was a huge coaching mismatch, clown hat could've easily lost three straight to midlife crisis Bobby from 2008-10 despite having much more talent. Brain-Les was Bert's bitch (only win coming on a hail mary at home in 2013), I shudder to think what Petrino would've done to him

Remember we into that game without Knile Davis who led the SEC in rushing the year before. Dennis Johnson was good but Davis had 4.3 speed at 230 pounds and was out running defenses like it was a walk in the park.
