A LB with 30 career tackles is vital to the success of a defense, but a 4th year junior QB must not be any good if he hasn't played much.

John Emery will be better than 80% of the field. Bama fans are just too stupid to see it

Hmm, I wonder who’s more valuable to a team, a redshirt senior starting LB or a 3rd string true freshman RB...

You say McMillon was valuable yet the man had 30 career tackles.

You say Emery is not good yet he averaged 4.8 yards a carry.

He'll be a top 3 back in the SEC this year.

4.8 is average, not good.

He may have the talent to be a top 3 back in the league, but I think he will be splitting too many carries to have that kind of production.

Probably because his replacement was a true freshman who had never played LB before.

If he’s good enough he will get the carries

too big of a talent to be splitting carries, time shall tell.

He and Sanders were by far and away the best backs in the 2019 class.

He's got another RB that came in with him that is probably equally as talented. There's no reason to run either of them into the ground.

Thats a nice excuse and all but dude was still a 4 star recruit.

As a linebacker.

And many projections have him starting over the all important McMillon in 2020.

So he's already a bust because he was behind a 1st round RB in his first year with the team.

Bama fans gonna Bama. Like always.

This is a strange position to take in a thread claiming that another true freshman was a bust. So, we expect a lot out of the LSU true freshman, but the Bama true freshman is the crutch of the defense.

Who had never played LB before...

And was asked to start next to another true freshman at the most important position in Saban’s defense

Because he’s the incumbent starter now and...

Freshmen can get better.

What a shocker.

You expected a lot out of a third string RB?

Correct. Emery didn’t really improve much. Harris had a much steeper learning curve.
