This is a good point. There are only a handful of college football players each year that will be able to market themselves alone without the school brand going along with it. Maybe at the local level but those places aren’t going to have the capital to shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars to athletes for advertising. I think you’ll see players maybe in commercials for small local businesses for a few grand. Maybe players like Burrow and Tua would maybe get national marketing deals but the vast majority aren’t marketable enough on their own. I think the biggest change will be shoe companies signing players to deals in college for basketball

Isn't there supposed to be a cap on what they can earn?
