AU doesn't even has an argument. Just because u make it out of the SEC does not mean you are one of the two best teams in america.
Well dang, we beat everyone on our schedule pretty bad, and only have one close game, against the defending national champions, and we don't even have an argument...
We couldn't have done that season any better. We were just as good as USC, and definately better than Oklahoma.

Last time I checked the winner isn't crowned by who has the most yards. That game was a close game. Anyone who watched it could see that. We were NEVER out of it, and we definitely did not get manhandled.
If I recall, you needed a touchdown with about one minute left in the game to win.

OU playing for the MNC after not winning their conference is one of the reasons Georgia was so pissed last season. A lot of them would equate OU playing for the MNC and not being conference champ with themselves.

well, then UGA should have been #1 by a large margin and then lost the SEC CG.

Based on final AP rankings for 2003.
USC played two games against teams ranked in the top 25, Michigan (6) and Washington State (9) and won both. They lost to an unranked Cal team.
LSU played five games against teams ranked in the top 25, Oklahoma (3) Georgia (7 - played them twice) Mississippi (13) and Florida (25). They were 4-1 losing to Florida.
Seems pretty clear to me who proved they were the better team in 2003.

ugh, but OU won their divison and played for the conference crown that year. Did UGA win the east and play us for the SEC title last year? Thanks. I'll hang up and listen
