Childers and Sturgill and those guys are the real country artists today. They are the ones carrying on the spirit of the old outlaws like Cash and Waylon, who were pretty progressive for their time. They would've fit in perfect with that group

I’ve given him a listen for a few songs. Everything sounds the same and whiney, and generic. The solo version of Turnpike Troubadours. But they don’t whine as much.
But if it keeps zoomers away from their Taylor Swift proclivities, then so be it.
