What other seniors were there? Greyson Lambert who lost his starting job at Virginia and couldnt beat out a true freshman at UGA in 2016 that was recruited by Richt.

I never said Richt was the best man for the job at UGA, but his run in 2012 is pretty much equal to Kirby's run in 2017.

That said, Smart inherited a team that had gone 19-6 in their last two seasons under Richt. He lost nearly that many games in his inaugural season.

And if we're being fair, Smart inherited an East with just one consistent opponent - Florida, and one that was having a lot of trouble finding an offensive identity.

Richt's last 4 seasons at UGA:
12-2
8-5
10-3
9-3

Smart's 4 seasons at UGA:
8-5
13-2
11-3
12-2

They both have almost the exact same number of losses. UGA finished 3-1 in the post season at the end of both 4 year stretches.

I'm saying that, compared to Ole Miss and a sanction-gutted Michigan State, the comparison is that Orgeron and Saban were given the keys to a Pinto and a VW Bus, and you're here saying that Kirby getting to race them in a 2 year old Mustang is "equal".
