I personally don't think it's all that odd when such things show teams that lost above a team that beat them. It's not about single games, it's about the entire season.

That said, I personally put 0 stock into FPI as a metric because it has human influences directly put in it's rankings.

I don't either in a one off scenario but the idea that this LSU team was 4th behind those 3 teams is a sign, to me, that sometime is off.
