Their lineup is strong
Will they have enough pitching?
The LSU pitching will be strong with Henry, Marceaux, Labas, Storz, Hill, Fontenot and Walker (throwing midweek)
Lineup will have growing pains early but hopefully will hit it's stride come sec play

Does Alabama even try in other sports?

What does that have to do with this post, Mr. Insecurity?

It’s a fact about your baseball team and a response to his message. Facts hurt I know.

We don't have an "ace" that we know of, like we have had with Knight and Campbell in the past, but Noland and Wicklander can both certainly grow into one for us.
We also have to replace Cronin. We have some good arms in the pen, just a lot of unprovens at the moment.
However, DVH does seem really fired up about this team.

But will still be without a natty.

Definitely some question marks with our pitching (though DVH loves their potential) but hard not to be excited about our lineup:
1. Webb (JUCO all-american in 2019)
2. Kjerstad (preseason all-american)
3. Goodheart (2019 leader in batting average with .345)
4. Martin (preseason all-american)
5. Opitz (first-team all-SEC catcher)
6. Franklin (freshman all-SEC in 2019)
7. Austin (transfer, hit .302 at West Virginia)
8. Nesbit (started all year last year at 3B as a freshman and was great defensively)
9. Moore (top 1-2 round MLB draft potential, blue chip recruit who surprisingly enrolled early)

State will win the SEC outright this year.

Now do the East and the whole SEC.

I don't see them finishing higher than 4th in the west this year. Don't see the reason for hype with them or Florida.
