The Confederate States, at the end of the war, recruited very young.

Many of those recruits in the war were 13-16 year olds. We were absolutely desperate.

The LaGrange Cemetery has the cause of death as "bullet-wounds" and disease.

The War at that time was indiscriminate and vicious.

I think that we should show some respect at the moment.

The gravemarks in this area are fading into the Earth, and I think that you owe these "people" a bit of gratitude.

I think what getcocky is asking is why does the city of Lagrange want them moved? Why not let them rest in peace? Were the graves lost and recently rediscovered or something? I had several direct ancestors who fought in the War of Northern Aggression.

Why would I owe gratitude to a group of rebels?
