How to cope with getting old

I fear Im joining the ranks of boomers. Up until a couple months ago I'd never heard of Billie Irish, or Ilish or whatever it is. Now I find out he/she/it is going to be doing the song for the next James Bond movie. Wtf, comes outta nowhere and gets it? I'd at least heard of Adelle and Sam Smith before but this person? No.
Then I see someone who I've never heard of named Taika Waititi is making a Star Wars. And news places act as though I should know who he is. After searching, he made a thor movie. So they have a literal who helming a multibillion dollar franchise, at least I think its a literal who, maybe Im wrong, Gen zers can tell me. Is he well known amongst the youth?
I have been called pops and told Im living like its 2003 still by people younger than me. Am I turning old? Clearly Im not keeping up with current "trends". How do I adjust to this life, is there a club I can join? How do I get access to the senior discount at restaurants and how do I join AARP?

Dont fear the fear. Aging is a natural progression.
Embrace the fact that others will turn to you for knowledge.
Buy a heavy bag, punch it hard every day.
Just be sure to tape up those brittle old wrists first.

I, too, would like to study in the dojo of wisdom, sans the cigars.
I keep hearing some shite about a Billy Eyelash on the radio for some music festival. It sounds very low-t. Probably right up TG45’s alley.
