The Irish thing is only a small part of it. Its all adding up. When people are stunned when I tell them I still listen to CDs in the car, clearly somethin is up.

Kids and their newfangled doodads.

I know who Billie Eilish is because my oldest nephew mocks her constantly on Facebook. I know what Facebook is because my friends said I could share bad jokes on there. They were right happily.

I didn't know who Waihiti was until I read something on the movie/tv board about him. He's not bad. Compared to some of the folks they've let make Star Wars movies lately he's like the second coming of Alfred Hitchcock.

I am told the current drink of choice among the young is something called White Claws. This is not a supervillain devoted to racial purity but a "hard seltzer" drink. I tried a sip of one once. It tastes like battery acid only not as good.

MTV hasn't shown music videos in decades and the History Channel isn't about actual history anymore. I too have become a cultural dinosaur.

The whiskey, however, helps.

I had one of those seltzer water things once. Don't see the appeal in them.

I miss old history channel. As far as MTV there is MTV classic, they show music videos on it instead of reality tv

Ok I’ve figured you out.

You’re not a Boomer, but you adapt worse than Boomers. Most Boomers have IPhones and whatnot. If you were a Boomer, you would only use a landline.

You struggle to keep up. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’d be similar to you, but I am in highschool so it’s tough to not know what’s going on.

Ive debated foregoing my cell phone and just having a land line, but then I remember people wanna be able to get ahold of you anytime anywhere, and sometimes you need to be able to make a call when somethin happens while youre out.

Have also considered going back to a flip phone but then, I couldn't check muh email that Im pretty much contractually obligated to check.

Yeah guess I don't adapt well. Still have never owned an iPhone. Maybe someday I will make that move up to the big leagues and live like its the 10's, but then itll be too late
