As it is now, sometimes that is the only tough game for teams in certain conferences. Just let them have that first one be an OOC opponent.

In a perfect world, we'd have 8 9-team power conferences. Only way in the playoff is win your league, every conference has round robin play.

How you split the leagues, I don't care. And everyone plays major leagues OOC in an 11-game schedule. Then fans and boosters get big matchups at home that won't kill your playoff chances.

That'll never happen, but whatever they can do to beef up OOC scheduling should be No. 1 on the to-do list.

I agree.

Teams also need more credit for scheduling OOC games. If Oregon does not lose to Auburn, do they get in this year?
I do not know, but it certainly hurt them.

I kind of wish you got more credit for playing home and away as well. I love the neutral field games because it gives us some good ones to start the year, but I think it robs the fans of some of the classic home and away games that used to be so special.

What about those with in-state rivalries from other conferences...how do they get sorted?
