They’re scrappy.
That’s about it.

it's something.

If Counzo get's him some players he should be good. I thought that was his strong suit

Yeah. Teams with players beat teams without players. That’s why we’re 0-2 in the SEC.

Didn’t hit a FG in 3.5 minutes at the end.
Didn’t break 60.
Shot 35% for the game.
Shot 65% from the FT line.
Got out rebounded.

The athletic department is a joke across the board. Yay we get some optimism with Drink, hoping he can recruit and actually develop his players.

How many kids did we watch the improvement curve flatten out year over year with Odom (Rountree, Albert O., among others)?

Now look at hoops, Watson...sophomore, 4 star recruit averaged 22 mins a game as a freshman, set freshman 3 pointers made record, move to second year, minutes are down to 16 a game, 20% reduction in 3pt %., averaged 7 ppg as freshman, down to 5 ppg as soph.

Mark Smith...another 4 star albeit a transfer...but same story, degradation in stats in year two.

Tilmon, 4 star...degradation in year THREE.

Pickett...not highly rated but a glue guy...same story...decreased production in year two.

Even the two bumbling bigs Nikko and Smith...Nikko somehow is actually scoring less this year...Smith shocker has doubled his output to a whopping 4 ppg.

Cuonzo doesn't let these guys play, seems his substitution patterns negate any possibility of creating a flow. You think highly rated players want to play for that?

He's gotta stop forcing this team to play "big", he has enough pieces to play small and fast, create some rhythm and see what happens. Dude has nothing to lose, but if we are tired of it, what do you think his players are thinking and more importantly those on the recruiting board (particularly those 4 stars)? Seriously, who would want to play for this? Suitcase preached defense as well, but he combined it with speed. With Cuonzo it's almost like watching a time of possession, run the clock football game...slow and boring. There has to be a better way...

Bold assumption that he has a plan.

HAHAHAHAHA...true.

The dude isn't even 50 years old, maybe there is hope that he can change...but we know how that goes. Seriously why does he pair Nikko and Mitchel on the floor so much? If that's his way of slowing it down, I guess it's working.

It appears KA was a better recruiter than CM.

Cuonzo still can’t pare down a rotation. Ongoing theme.

We have several guys that don’t play the way they should be playing. We don’t create nearly enough easy shots

The whole thing is just a disaster, and I don’t know how anyone could have much hope for it turning around.

I always was cautious about him. Kids who comes from really small schools often take a long time to get going. Level of competition just isnt there. And he didnt play for an EYBL team for most of his AAU career.

yes.

Sitting with 8 right now,

They should win

Tamu twice
ole miss at least once
State at least once
South Carolina
UGA

Of those 8 I think we win 6 or 7

We’ll lose at A&M.
I’d be surprised if we beat UGA.
