That is a 2-way street as I see it. What about the player who is committed to a university for a year and flips at the last moment and leaves the university high and dry. Too me frick it if a college has a shot at a 5* player or a player who may be a better fit sign him after you help place another kid to another college on your commitment roster.
It's a big business these days need to treat as such. Get the very best players you can every year. Sometimes colleges need to purge their commitment roster before LOI.
