He likes being cheered and he knows by attending sporting events in the south where his popularity is the highest, that'll happen.
He's now been to two Alabama games. This will be his second LSU game. Aside from Army/Navy, he's not going to games outside of the south because it would expose him to a non-friendly crowd (see attending the WS game in Washington where he promptly left after being booed).

Nope.....1st POTUS to NOT attend the WS in baseball.

Haven’t noticed him at an NBA game. Or an NFL game.
