Maybe it’s because LSU is just so damn dominant this season but is anyone else worried after seeing what they did to Oklahoma? I was really hoping to see a more competitive game especially from Oklahoma’s offense. I was expecting OU to lose but to the tune of 56-45 not get boat raced out of the stadium

It's hard for an offense to get motivated when the D is giving up TDs literally every 4-5 plays.

Nah. No one is beating Burrow this year.

Saints offensive scheme LSU runs is deadly with Burrow's accuracy and his ability to find the right mismatch.

They did all of that to OU without throwing the ball to Edwards-Helaire too.

I'd be happy to make a bowl game so I'm not going to do any hand wringing over whether we can beat a national title contender at this moment.

No. Riley runs a similar system to Leach. He played QB at TTU under Leach, GA'd under Leach, coached positions under Leach, went with Ruffin to be the OC at ECU after Leach locked James in the hotbox for breaking eggs.

Riley is air raid with a little more emphasis on the run than Leach, but just as quick to abandon the run for the pass as Leach.

It was a display of why Leach wants the SEC but the SEC does not want him. Hell, Arkansas was just as competitive as OU against LSU. You can take from that what you want, but its more likely that Arkansas would be tops on the big12 with their current roster than OU would be tops in the SEC with their current roster/system.

You can run any offense you want in the SEC and win, but you have to value being able to run the ball. You have to value defense, especially on the line, LSU gave something OU rarely sees during a season, an effective pass rush.

Briles offense is pass happy like is known for Big12 offenses, but the base of his offense is the veer/flex bone which is a run/option offense. Basically think of Hatfield's offense (if you're old enough) with a willingness to pass the ball down the field. You basically move the second running back to a WR/Hback position with the second run threat being the QB taking shotgun snaps.
