- This is the fifth meeting between Arkansas and Indiana. The series is ties, 2-2, but the Hoosiers are 2-0 versus the Razorbacks in Bloomington.
- Indiana won the first game in the series with a 75-50 decision early in the 1949-50 season in Bloomington.
- A mere 58 years later, Arkansas won the next encounter, 86-72, in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament East Regional.
- The team met twice last season. The Razorbacks won an exciting 73-72 decision in Bud Walton Arena in game three. The Hoosiers evened the series, 2-2, with a 63-60 win in the second round of the 2019 NIT.

- There is not a lot of history between the schools. However, the Musselmans have a history with the Hoosiers.
- Eric Musselman coached former Hoosiers Calbert Chaney, Brian Evans, Alan Henderson, Keith Smart, Jay Edwards and Jim Thomas in professional basketball.
- On Jan. 8, 1972 Minnesota hosted Indiana. The game was the Big 10 opener for both teams and the first Big 10 game conference game coached by Golden Gopher head coach Bill Musselman (Eric’s father) and Hoosier head coach was Bobby Knight. Minnesota won 52-51.
- Bill Musselman and Bobby Knight also grew up as high school rivals.
- During the 1998 NBA lockout, Bill and Eric Musselman spent a week with Coach Knight observing practice.

- (HogStats): This season is just the second time in the 21st century that the Razorbacks have had three true road non-conference games in the regular season (i.e. excluding NIT games).
- 2019-20 at Georgia Tech, Western Kentucky and Indiana
- 2014-15 at SMU, Iowa State and Clemson
- Arkansas, Oklahoma and Boston College are the only Power 5 teams to play three true non-conference road games this season.

HUGE game for Arkansas and the SEC in general.

- Arkansas was down five (63-58) with 4:14 left in the game but went on a 12-2 run, thanks to a highlight-reel blocked shot by Adrio Bailey and two 3-pointers by Mason Jones, to pull out a 72-68 victory over Valparaiso at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock.
- Isaiah Joe started the run at the 3:50 mark, making three free throws when he was fouled attempting a 3-pointer from the top of the key.
- STOP 1: With 1:30 remaining and the Hogs down three, Joe got a steal and fed Jones for a 3-pointer from the left wing to knot the game, 65-65.
- STOP 2: On Valpo’s ensuing possession, Jimmy Whitt Jr., got a steal and Jones drained a triple with 53 seconds left for a 3-point Razorback lead.
- STOP 3: For the third consecutive defensive possession, Arkansas got a defensive stop as Bailey came through with the play of the game. The Crusaders’ leading scorer, Javon Freeman-Liberty, drove the basket and Bailey blocked the layup attempt. Joe gathered the rebound, was fouled and sank two free throws to cap the run for a five-point lead with 36 seconds left.
- Valpo answered with a 3-pointer to make it a two-point game, but Jones was fouled on the in-bounds play and promptly drained two free throws with 25 seconds left to provide the 72-68 final.
- Jones, who battled foul trouble and missed his first three 3-pointers, made his last two triples of the game and was 8-of-9 from the free throw line to score 20 points. He added nine rebounds and four assists and was the only Razorback in double figures in the plus-minus with +17.
- Joe led the Razorbacks with 21 pints and added seven rebounds. He made five 3-pointers and was 6-of-7 from the free throw line. Bailey sank two early 3-pointers and finished with 10 points, five rebounds, four blocked shots and three steals. Whitt added 10 points as well

Lisa looks like the comic book Joker was her dad with that chin.
It should be good game. Important for both us and the SEC since the conference hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire with high profile match ups in OOC play.
That having been said Arkansas is, as you pointed out, miserable when we have to go on the road in Big 10 country. Our offense has improved but our defense has come back down to Earth as the quality of our opponents has increased. We are still playing good defense mind you, but it isn't the shut down defense we displayed earlier.
I think we drop this one. A year from now, with the talent we have coming in, I like our chances. Right now I think the lack of an inside presence on the road in what should be a very hostile environment gives the edge to Indiana.
