I feel like I'm missing something here.
Was his license not revoked after the tragic
deaths---and if not then, not after the first,
second or third tickets ? And the parents
continued to let him have a car ? I don't live
in Alabama but all this just sounds insane.

Apparently not

Not immediately. Not sure why he was ticketed and not arrested with those either.

Sounds like they did. They are the biggest problem here since he is a minor. That's a REAL easy fix.

I've been trying to figure out the same thing. When I was in college, I got in a minor wreck and had a speeding ticket for 12 over (52 in a 40) in the same calendar year. I then received notice I was to take a defensive driving course to avoid having my license revoked. Really pissed me off. In the almost 20 years of driving, those represent 2 of the 3 tickets I've ever received, the other being 3 years prior to that.
