We had this discussion the other day and After seeing all 3 of our commits go elsewhere I decided to look into this fully.

I was able to confirm that Robinson was in fact moved to DT and McGuire recently said on Twitter that he is moving inside as well.

That leaves us with

Turner SR
Williams SR
Martin SR
Hansford JR
Brooks RS FR

That’s uh...not good. No idea what’s even left in the late signing period, but Drink is going to have to get real creative here. JUCO, grad transfers...something. Will be interesting to see how this potential pitfall is navigated

Transfers are going to have to be the answer. Unless we see some LB moved to DE. There’s a few that have the size to play DE. Wilkins is an example.

Byers is 300 lbs now. I don’t think he’s really an option as a DE now.

Yes there is. There will only be 2 at the position next season that won’t be seniors next season. And only 5 total at the moment. The transfer portal would be a good spot to start looking for help.

This was going to be an issue even with the guys who were coming in this year.

Odom epicly failed at recruiting DEs.

2 defensive ends that Mizzou has offered that are still undecided for some reason. Neither seemed interested in Mizzou.

I still have some eligibility left; I'll call Drink or Brick later. I'm only 5'11", 195 and they clock my 40 with a sundial but I have some choice weapons at my disposal.

Arkansas Hires JUCO Head Football Coach as Assistant
PIG TRAIL NATION

FAYETTEVILLE — According to a source, Arkansas has hired Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College head football coach Rion Rhoades.

The hire was first reported by Football Scoop. The report stated that Rhoades’ exact role on the staff hasn’t been determined, but speculated it would be to coach linebackers.

Arkansas offered a defensive end and defensive tackle from the school during the weekend. The previous staff had offered two defensive backs from the school as well.

Hutchinson finished the 2019 season 10-2. Rhoades will have to fill one of the 10 on-the-field roles to avoid tripping the IAWP rule, which would bar Arkansas from recruiting any Hutchinson players for two years.

Rhoades was a linebacker for Pittman when he was the head coach there in 1992-93.

The two Hutchinson players offered this past weekend were defensive tackle Latrell Bankston, 6-1, 299, and defensive end Kirmari Gainous, 6-4, 255.

At Arkansas, Rhoades joins defensive coordinator Barry Odom, wide receivers coach Justin Stepp and Brad Davis to head the offensive line.

Transfer portal or JUCO. Transfer portal helps in 2021 but Isaiah Chambers from Houston. 8.5 sacks in two years.

Where is Chester Graves?? Can he get into school?
