Tulsa is 113 on KenPom and Mizzou is 57.

quit clouding the issue with facts ...

KenPom does a numerical comparison and doesn't have much data right now so it's not much in -> garbage out. By the end of the season it's pretty decent.

Tulsa is 8-3 and beat Vandy. We are 5-4 and lost at home to Charleston (and I'm concerned about Chicago St.)

It's interesting, it's been like 6 years and Tulsa has been better than us most if not all that time. You would think we would have a lot of advantages over Tulsa

They’ve had a better coach than us for at least half that time.

And yet, Haith has as many NCAAT wins as Kim Anderson during that time

Tulsa’s strength of schedule is 345. They haven’t beat anyone with a pulse. Mizzou only has 1 decent win, and has a terrible loss, but the strength of schedule is 131.

Haith does know how to coach offense, although their offense is actually less efficient than Mizzou’s this season.

Reality is if the 2 teams played, it would probably be a toss up game. People turning stats any way they want is taken into consideration but I don't weight it as heavily as some because those that are constantly quoting them are wrong more than they're right. Ask Bernie. He quotes more stats more than anyone. Bottom line is neither team is very good.

LINK

Here’s a Vegas sure that has Mizzou 58 and Tulsa 104. Mizzou would be a double digit favorite if they were to play.

And Mizzou would lose by double digits.

I'm probably way off but you remind me of the guy who has never played a sport in his life and to make up for it you dove into statistical analysis and then tried to push how that tells you everything you need to know. Nothing wrong with that. The world needs all kinds.

I actually played D1 hoops. I dove into statistics as a way to show me the why. If I watch a game and come away with impressions I should be able to look at the analytics and come to the same conclusion. The best college and pro teams go deep into analytics.

Mizzou isn't even the best team in it's own state. SLU is and has been for awhile now.

Northwest is probably the best team in the state right now. If Mizzou would quit throwing up bricks on its open jumpers then Mizzou would overtake them both.

Told ya I would be way off. Of course I want to ask where but I won't. Internet is full of crazies. I'll listen to analytics but just drives me crazy the guys (like Bernie) who that's all they rely on. Just wanna yell at him to try watching a game instead of reading numbers.

If SLU could make free throws they would have beat Auburn on the road today. I think they are borderline top 25 and a tourney team.

I do both. Watch the game and come away with my ideas on the game. Then I go to stat sites like synergy to see if I missed anything.

Look at Mizzou for example, nearly 25% of the shots taken are considered open jumpers. Normally you see teams make around 50% of those. Mizzou is under 30% on those shots. Some if that is bad luck and some is having the wrong people taking the shots.

I don’t know. Mizzou shot the ball well the last 2 seasons.
2018 Mizzou shot 38% from 3 which was ranked 39th in college
2019 Mizzou shot 36% which was 81st. The team was top 30 before Mark Smith got hurt.
Now this season the team is shooting 25% which is 346.

Painful as it is I checked in on the game. They (still) have no offensive flow. No rhythm. Looks like they are trying their hardest to do some f'd up Counzo thing on offense so they don't get yelled at. I'm surprised anything goes down. 38 and 36% is not good at all. They are 212 in offensive efficiency. In 2018 they were 219. How long we gonna pretend what is happening is not happening? That is a very Mizzou fan thing

this is difficult to watch (and we are up by 14). I'm out.

from the looks of the stands so is everybody else
