Any potential coach sees the situation and the extreme risk in taking this job right now. You're looking at least one, maybe two years to get to a bowl at best. Even though Chad Morris should have been fired, it sets a bad precedent for any potential coach that he was fired in less than two seasons. You're basically going to be walking into unrealistic expectations and locker room in total chaos that is only going to get worse in 2020 without some type of heroic finish before signing day. Or you could stay at your G5 school and win another 10-11 games and wait for something else.

While it wont be easy, any coach worth a grain of salt can show improvement from one year to the next. Right now we just want to beat teams like San Jose St., Western Kentucky, Colorado St, etc..

Chad was that bad. He couldn't even beat those teams in year 2. We had more talent, and still found ways to lose.
