I’ve resolved myself to the inevitable that OSU will remain #1 and I’m fine with it because I think LSU really is #1, and whoever we end up playing we will have to beat and earn it.
Now, there’s no doubt in my mind that there’s a large bias in the committee for the B10, and Coach Day making it a point to lobby for it immediately after their conference game ended is almost scripted to me in order to get the ball rolling in that direction, but let me say this. There’s nothing guaranteeing they beat OU either. Clemson is a tough opponent, make no mistake about it, but if my Tigers really are #1, then we should beat them, and then take on the winner and beat them as well, because that’s what #1’s do.
