Wow! If this s the best we can do, then so be it. It will be a tall task for any coach and our fans don’t have the patience

After this, I hope we’ll drop the whole “we can pay whatever it takes” BS that our fans like to say every coaching search because it’s just not true.

Two bad hires in a row will break you, even with SEC $$$$$$

We’re going to have to be patient for at least 3 years w whoever our new coach is. I doubt this board or our fans can do that

Our coaching searches always turn out like dates when you're young and poor.

"We're going out to eat and order anything you want off the menu!"

[looks at prices on the menu]

"I'll take a side salad and water, please."

At that rate, we'll look like a NAIA crowd at home. People just will have totally stopped giving a shite by then

The patience for what, exactly?

Our last decent coach coached his last season in fall of 2011.

We gave Bert plenty of patience.

Hell, most fans were actually supporting Chad after he beat Colorado State this season (I wasn't).

That’s the perfect analogy for our searches.

Morris was a cheap hire but wasn't Bret well compensated?

Kind of doubting the commitment and competence of the people making decisions for our football program. This guy may be great, may be the next Saban for all I know, but you have to question any administration that is willing to put this guy out there against the likes of Nick Saban, Ed Orgeron, Jimbo Fisher, Gus Malzhan, Mullen, Kirby, Pruitt, Kiffin...

If Drinkwitz is the best option available to us, we all need to come to the realization that we are the worst program in the SEC. We talk about our facilities and fan support, but there is a sickness somewhere in this football program that is preventing us from ever sniffing the kind of coaches it takes to compete in the SEC. At this point, if we have any success, it is going to be because we got incredibly lucky, will be over the dead bodies of the anchors in our administration, and whomever the coach is will be gone to a competent program as soon as he gets an offer out.

We don’t have the players. That’s obvious.
