Arkansas is now a basketball school.

We will NOT spend the money to fix the football program. PERIOD. We will get lip service from guys like Jerry about how his hand has never cramped up while writing a big check. But we will be outbid on any coach that's worth having except for some odd reason that booger eater at Auburn.
They have let Kiffin go to Ole Piss. They could have had Norvell two years ago but decided he wasn't up to their "Christian" standards at the time. We can't have a good coach here bc we are either handcuffed by idiots and their impossible standards on the far right. Or the cheap wads on the other side of the equation.
Arkansas football is dead. Maybe, just maybe a guy like Drink can fix it. But thats a longshot. And no I"m not melting down. Just stating facts. Arkansas football isn't worth the trouble. Thanks GOBN enjoy that fricking empty stadium. Oh final thought. How long before "integrity has something to do with us supposedly passing on Kiffin and Norvell. The media here is so predictable. We are taking a stand against paying coaches too much or Lane had nudes circulating or something. Just wait. It will happen.

This program can win.But going back to what was successful in the past isn't going to happen.
We wanted something all shiny and new and it led to this.
I hope for the best,but thankfully I have other sports to look forward to.

Arkansas football is not dead because we missed on Lane fricking Kiffin
He is one good coach out of dozens, and yes I would've loved to have him here but it isn't the end of the world. For all we know he wasn't even the primary target. Apparently the info that's been passed around as leaks is unreliable, we really have no idea.
But continue to melt my friend, it's inevitable some of us will at this point.

I am aware that we had the same info fed to us, possibly even from some of the same folks.
But let me go on record calling this a complete crap show. HY liking the tweet was not an intelligent decision concerning Kiffin…
I just looked at the numbers being floated around on Kiff, and that was not out of our range.
We NEED a name, some excitement, some unbelievable leverage to aid this program at a horrific time in the SEC football world. Without it, we are absolutely sunk for another decade. Dude, it is what it is.
I cant go past a burning dumpster and not know that there is fire in that fricking thing.
HY has to get this right, and the longer it waits the less opportunity he has to do so. It may happen, but time is ticking!

I give Rev a pass in all of this. He obviously knows some people and was fed some bad info.
He knows my connection to Gus and have me a pass when the info I was given was bad two years ago. He didn’t blow me up.

nahhh man! I don't mind the lumps. I believe I was given good info on Kiff contacting with interest, I know I was given good info on the interview. From there it went south somewhere.
If it is the BOT/GOB... then the university needs a complete colonoscopy and fully cleaned out.

You very well could be right, I'm just saying that all bets are off at this point. We're back to the drawing boards as far as rumors are concerned, we don't know how accurate anything we've heard is.
This could still end up like the basketball hire where someone comes out of left field relatively. HY knows what he's doing, so I'll continue to try to have some faith until it's proven wrong.
We shall see, and it'll be pretty soon now. I'll join in on the melt if it ends up being BLJ.

We are an everything but football school. And honestly we are an everything but football STATE.
I know - I know - the Razorbacks suck at football and Arkansas Baptist College could beat us blah blah blah.
Let's evaluate the amazing collegiate football in the state of Arkansas.
Ouachita was undefeated and ranked pretty high. They dominated the G.od A.wful C.onference but got upset by some no name in the 1st round of the D2 playoffs.
Harding loses to NW Missouri State in the 1st round as well.
arkansas state school of jonesboro is wanting to fire their head coach despite him overcoming some horrible circumstances. they did get embarrassed by 1-10 South Alabama to finish the season. They will end up in mobile alabama again.
uca - ahhhh uca. THE BEST TEAM IN THE STATE. They get mudstomped by Cole Kelley and the fighting mud dogs South Central Louisiana State University. But they win a share of the SOFTland conference and still earned a national seed (8) and a first round bye. They host underdog Illinois State today. Illinois State has multiple injuries and their QB situation is worse than ours. What happens? They get stomped in front of 50% capacity.
