That district is legit. Seems like one of them wins it every year. The SEC of Alabama 6A football for sure!

All the 6As in that district are massive, I don’t know how they are not 7A schools

They still scored a TD on that drive to take the lead against Oxford. It was 13-7 Spanish Fort when the Jackets scored to take a 1-point lead with 23 seconds left in the game.

Mars Hill Bible
They used to have a pretty good basketball team that was well resourced enough to fight competitively above its weight class.

That game got very close to producing a kick 6 at the home of the kick 6. Same end zone and route.

Almost Kick Six
Is #1 (the kick holder) dead? He gets his d!ck knocked in the dirt on the blind side block. Always watch your 6 bro
ETA: Props to the Ref for the nice back pedal and turn and run to stay with the play

Looks like Oxford finally got a coach for all that talent they've been putting out. I remember a while back that team had Kwon Alexander, Trae Elston, and Roc Thomas on the same team and didn't win anything.
Good job jackets and coach Ethredge.

Oxford (MS) won the 6A state championship last night too, Ty.

That coach went to Jacksonville State. He took Auburn to overtime and lost to Carson Wentz in the FCS Championship Game.

This is what the boys of the SEC have reduced the state of Alabama to.
More to come...

So he still hasn't won anything? Got it.

You won't admit it, but you got owned.

Oxford won at Jordan-Hare, something Alabama hasn’t done in nearly half a decade. Well done.

Am I wrong?
You tried to make it sound like Oxford had talent in spite of the coach. The coach is who elevated these guys to be Division I prospects. Oxford was one of the smallest 6A schools before they created a 7A. They were exceeding expectations.
Also, John Grass was at Spain Park for 2 seasons before Oxford. He got Spain Park to the championship game in year 2. They lost to Prattville that was coached by Bill Clark.
Interesting stat. Bill Clark and John Grass are both Jacksonville State grads. And Grass replaced Clark at JSU after Clark went to UAB.

Look, I'm an Oxford alum so I'm happy for them. But the difference in this team and teams past is 100% coaching.
Having a guy with his experience coach the kind of talent that Oxford has is huge. He has been there before and this is his 5th title at his 2nd school. I have a nephew that pretty much only gets to play in mop up duty and I've seen it firsthand the compsure and steadiness this team had. Last year you could tell that Herring was in over his head and had arguably more talent than this year's team. They got bounced in the early rounds.

I agree with you now that 7A has been created. Oxford should be in the title hunt every year in 6A.

100% this.
John Grass made Oxford into a regional power after Niblett left for Hoover, and Herring had SOOO much talent on just about every single one of his teams. They went undefeated in back-to-back seasons yet got bounced out early in the playoffs by teams he probably should have beaten. Had he been a better coach, Herring would have won multiple state championships at Oxford.
