My only thought is when the field is shortened everyone stacks the box. Had we actually not just let the DE through unblocked and MAC isn’t getting hit as soon as he rolls it may have been successful. Najee and Waddle were absolutely going off. Thank God Waddle is back next year.

I would have liked to have seen a QB sneak on first down to at least get it inside the 1, plus you have less of a chance of getting caught in the backfield for a loss.
Follow that with Najee over the top on 2nd down.
If that doesnt work, I'd probably sneak it again or Najee over the top again.
