If Shula had won in ‘06 would he have been fired? Would Curry have been allowed to go to UK if he’d beaten AU in ‘89 and had a shot at the NC?

Word was that Tubs was gone after the Arky loss no matter what happened the rest of the way. And that wouldve included an unlikely IB victory (we were huge underdogs for a reason).

Tubs coached that entire season like he didnt give a shite. Malzahn, for all of his many flaws, at least looked like he cared if he won or lost.

I wont disagree with your larger point, however. We almost certainly wont be making the CFP under Gustav. My only hope is that he keeps us recruiting and competing at a high level until we can afford to explore our options.
