that’s 2 10-win seasons

Why is 10 wins still the bar when there is the availibility to play 15 games?

Because it’s still a good benchmark.

We can go back and forth about expectations for the Auburn program but looking at our previous history, 10+ win seasons are not the norm. So getting to that mark is in fact a big deal historically.

It helps with perception and that helps with recruiting. In 3 months nobody will remember how anemic our offense was in big moments, etc...the record could be 10-3 and coaches can sell 10-4, 8-5 and 10-3 to recruits especially when you can list all the top 10 teams we played in that same window of time.

Maybe

Because only two teams play 15, with just a couple more doing 14, and the overriding majority only ever playing 12?

... and 10 of 12 is 83 percent, which way better than the average of 50/50... (because there are no ties).
