I don't care how Alabama is doing it. The important thing is that it has yielded results. Alabama made a huge mistake years ago in letting Auburn take on the rep of the engineering school. Alabama has the fourth oldest engineering program in the nation. Finally, it has stepped up and is on the way to fulfilling its potential. Its engineering facilities and students match those at almost any state flagship school.
Look, if Auburn had the same ability to fund this level of scholarships, it would. If Auburn had the same beautiful campus as Alabama has, it would also be able to attract elite students.
