This article does a good job of showing how brutal of a task it is for Auburn to compete year in and year out. Also shows all other FBS schools. I do wish we were in the east sometimes.

SEC West, and really the whole conference, is just a meat grinder.
Brutally competitive.
Brutally competitive.

You will beat Bama it’s just what Gus does

Yes, the SEC West is tough. But Gus should 100% have a better record against LSU, Bama, and UGA in year 7. And it's not simple W's and L's. It's the ebb and flow of the games and how they lose that has to be maddening.

Stopped reading when I got to the part where the writer states that the postseason doesn’t matter when analyzing a coach’s success.

Hell no she won't. They'll have $27 million either way.

Absolutely.

Also true. Some of those losses were very winnable games.

Funny how Auburn whine about schedules and want to move to the East when the West is up. But when the tides (pun intended) turn and the East is on top again, Aubies would want to jump back to the West. Aubies are generally a whiny bunch. “We want to move to the East.” We want to change the date of the DSOR.” “We have to play such a tough schedule.”
Fact is that UGA, which is in the East, has won 8 of 10 and 14 of 20, so a move to the East probably won’t help and UF and UT may be on the rise. So Aubies, man up and quit the whining and realize that you just ain’t that special.

The East may improve (no where to go but up), but that doesn't mean the west will go down. Ark, OM, and MSU are straight trash right now and A&M will realize its potential one day. Don't let Fatt Luke see that excuse chart; he will want another extension.

How many people are calling for his head, but we better be careful what we wish for. Look at Arkansas, Tennessee for the longest time, and now FSU.
I think most people are perturbed that he is a good coach, not a great coach. But we are paying him great coach money. He is also coaching at a time when all the talent is being concentrated to very few teams because of how the playoff is structured. Kids know they're only going to get to the playoff if they play for certain teams and therefore they go there.
Reminds me of the Atlanta Hawks with Lenny Wilkins many years ago, who kept winning 50 games going to the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs. Management got tired of him "not winning a championship" and fired him without having a better solution ready. And they sank in the tank for the next 2 decades. It could easily happen to Auburn.

100% agree, and that’s why I’m still sick of him.

The reason he left them out is because post-season games have no bearing on how easy it is to get to...you guessed it...the post season.
He's also not analyzing a coach's success. He's analyzing how difficult the Auburn coaching job is.
Maybe you should read the whole article instead of giving up because you don't think it says what you want it to say.
