The article epitomizes what I think is wrong with the offense. It has nothing to do with the words being said, but who is saying them. 3 days from their final home game as Tigers and the seniors on the offensive side of the ball let a sophomore WR hanging to 50% of the balls thrown at him answer questions about their coach and the season.

Fixed. The article subject is irrelevant to my point.

Don't coaches decide who gets media access each week?

Lock, Hall, Pendleton, and Adams handled the media questions for their side of the ball last year. The leaders should be out front. They aren't.

I agree with you but I think it is the coaches who pick the players and not the players themselves.

So same thing. Why aren’t the coaches selecting Albert or Kelly or Trevour?

Even when the shite was hitting the fan, Lock was out there answering questions and being accountable. That was his most undervalued contribution IMO.

I agree that this is another indictment of the coaching staff decision making.

The coaches aren't holding back the captains and other Sr leaders from taking questions. This reeks of a lack of ownership and leadership by the players.

That is what we just covered above. I think the coaches only select a few players a week to give media access. I don't think it is some free for all where the players can just go talk if they want to. I think this is a coaching decision process and not a player decision process.

It is ok to lay the blame for this at Odom's feet. He is responsible for getting kids into the program that can lead.

They are taking care of that themselves.
