Wouldn't it be worse to have a sub $10M buyout for Coach O if he's got the number one team in the country?

The buyout doesn’t serve as insurance to keep Jimbo from leaving - it only cost A&M a lot if they want to replace him. Jimbo can walk out the door on A&M any day he wants to take any other offer he wants and pay A&M $0 for doing so.

No; because he isn't going anywhere. Neither is Jimbo or Nick. Gus Bus - who the hell knows.
