He picked Daunte Culpepper over Brees

He quit the Dolphins because their medical staff made him take Culpepper over Brees.

But you already knew that so keep trolling.

Only Bama fans believe that dumb shite. It’s revisionist history made up by Saban to save face because he passed on a HOFer at the most critical position

And when he quit his first call was to Skip Bertman to tell him he wanted to be back in Louisiana and the head coach of LSU.

But you already know that.

They were friends with Brees and didn't want to see the same thing happen to him as what happened to Tua.

It was his final decision.
He quit because:
A. You can’t cherry pick your roster in the NFL.
B. You can’t bully grown men, making as much as you , into believing in the “process”.
C. It’s a level playing field in the NFL.

Pete Carroll didn’t have a problem making the transition.

That is pure horse shite. Lol. Saban had total control for the Dolphins. Total Control. That’s why he took the job. The ONLY way he was taking an NFL job was if he got total & complete control. That’s why he didn’t take the Bears job one year earlier right after we won the National Title. The Bears had restrictions.

The Truth: Brees favored the Dolphins over the Saints. Shawn Payton told Brees he was his guy all the way. Even though Brees couldn’t even throw a football 15 yards, at the time, Payton & the Saints went all In. Guaranteed him $10 million a year for 5 years. Saban & the Dolphins wouldn’t go all in like the Saints would. Brees picked the Saints and the rest is history.

You really believe the Medical Staff made a HC take one guy over another, other than the rare cases that involve some kind of heart condition

Culpepper was 6-4 & 240lbs and Saban is a slave to his size & speed profiles for each position and at that time Brees wasn't a finished product so he thought Culpepper was the safer choice

Don't try to absolve Saban by scapegoating the Medical Staff

HCs choose their franchise QBs, NOT the medical staff
