See what happens when you fixate on one aspect and throw out other aspects? You would have a point if only one thing mattered. Funny how LSU fans like to harp on Alabama's weak schedule most of the time, then throw it out at other times.

My whole point was that good wins matter more than bad losses and that Bama is in trouble because of their weak schedule.

I get that, and I also see where you are coming from...but I think you are being short sighted. You see a bad loss by Georgia and a "good" loss" by Alabama and then stop looking. You forget that Georgia has two good wins over ranked teams. Those trump a bad loss. Alabama has lost to the only ranked team they have played, and may not even have a win over a ranked team when the season is done.

I am not saying that Georgia is better than Alabama...simply that what is getting Alabama is their schedule, and nothing else. Ironically Alabama had a much better chance of shaking off that loss when the SEC West was head and shoulders above the east. Now that it is a bit more even, (Yes, I think LSU is the best team and MAYBE Alabama the second best team in the SEC) they have little to no chance of overcoming a loss.

IF Georgia beats Auburn and Alabama beats Auburn, then Alabama will probably have no wins against a ranked team at the end of the year. And it is not just the wins...it is that there are multiple wins. Several big wins will trump one bad loss.

Hey. This is your thread. I should have stayed out of it. I didn't mean to start an argument with you.

I should say, that I think we agree....it is a matter of semantics. I should not have argued the point.
