LSU: 4 (#5 Alabama, #11 Florida, #12 Auburn, #19 Texas)

Ohio State: 2 (#14 Wisconsin, #17 Cincinnati)
Penn State: 2 (#15 Michigan, #20 Iowa)
Wisconsin: 2 (#15 Michigan, #20 Iowa)
Michigan: 2 (#16 Notre Dame, #20 Iowa)
Baylor: 2 (#22 Oklahoma State, #24 Kansas State)
Texas: 2 (#22 Oklahoma State, #24 Kansas State)
South Carolina: 1 (#4 Georgia)
Auburn: 1 (#6 Oregon)
Southern Cal: 1 (#7 Utah)
Minnesota: 1 (#9 Penn State)
Kansas State: 1 (#10 Oklahoma)
Florida: 1 (#12 Auburn)
Illinois: 1 (#14 Wisconsin)
Temple: 1 (#18 Memphis)
Oklahoma: 1 (#19 Texas)
TCU: 1 (#19 Texas)
BYU: 1 (#21 Boise State)
Texas Tech: 1 (#22 Oklahoma State)
Memphis: 1 (#23 Navy)
Oklahoma State: 1 (#24 Kansas State)
Georgia Southern: 1 (#25 Appalachian State)

As I said in my previous thread, these are not a power ranking. The teams are sorted first by number of top 25 wins, then by highest ranked win. If I left anyone out let me know.

Man, it's crazy how a bulk of the SEC is hot garbage this year.

The Temple Owls have more top 25 wins than the Alabana Elephants. Let that sink in

Utah is also not on the list.

What? Georgia Southern, a rent-a-win that LSU beat 55-3, has more top 25 wins than A1abanana

The game would be better if teams were ranked this way.

Neither Oregon nor Utah have a win over a single currently ranked opponent thanks to U-Dub and Wazzu's stock falling. And none of their upcoming opponents are ranked.

Their only shot to beat a ranked team is when they play each other in Santa Clara. The Pac-12 champ has to win out and likely win convincingly to make their claim to be in the top 4.

Oregon ought to be ALL IN on War Damn Eagle later this month.

Thanks for this list. It’s interesting to see how the committee views these teams. It seems several are being helped by the eye test so far.

The CFP ranked teams who didn’t make your list, (plus their best win) are:

#3 Clemson (6-3 Texas A&M)
#5 Alabama (6-3 Texas A&M)
#6 Oregon (6-4 Southern Cal)
#7 Utah (6-4 Washington)
#16 Notre Dame (7-3 Virgina)
#17 Cincinnati (7-3 UCF)
#20 Iowa (5-4 Iowa State)
#21 Boise State (7-2 Air Force)
#23 Navy (7-2 Air Force)
#25 Appalachian State (7-2 Louisiana)

Power 5 teams are bolded.

It's sad that South Carolina and Illinois have Top 15 wins and the teams above don't.
